What is the Transition Nelson Business Group Aiming to do?

1.    To raise awareness within our local business community about how peak oil, carbon emissions and climate change will likely affect them (and their profit margin)

2.    To identify new business opportunities in Nelson resulting from our transition to lower energy lifestyles

Which projects are the Business Group involved in?
The Business Group has developed a sustainability checklist for local businesses. This is designed to prompt business owners to consider adopting more sustainability practices within their businesses. It focuses on low cost and cost saving ideas, and provides links to further information and people that can help. This has been handed out to local businesses with great success and is an ongoing project.
